More About MidModMen+friends
IT’S BIGGER ON THE INSIDE (SORT OF) We want shopping to be inviting, not overwhelming. So we populate the showroom with lots of options. Just not too many. Come in and talk to us about what you’re seeking and we’ll let you know if we have it waiting in the wings. We can arrange for you to see an item and claim it in advance. Some are ready to go, so we’re able to bring them in for you to purchase right away. Others require restoration and that takes time, so we can discuss possibilities with you.
CH-CH-CH-CHANGES Inventory changes weekly (even daily) and we’re diligent about posting details about major items in the showcase section at MidModMen.com. On Instagram, Facebook and Threads, too. We remove or mark as sold anything that’s no longer available – usually by the end of the day. But you don’t need to wait for store hours to reach out. If you see something you want, let us know and we’ll help you lock it down.

WORKING 9-5 (AND THEN SOME) Can’t make it during store hours? We respond to inquiries almost any day of the week. If you want to purchase something outside store hours, just call, text or email and we’ll arrange payment and pickup. In some cases we can schedule a daytime appointment if you want to see a specific item or pick up a purchase.
THERE’S NO PLACE LIKE HOME It’s part of our mission to support Minnesota/regional artisans and artists by showcasing their work. We’re fortunate to have an exclusive relationship with a local furniture-maker, and always have his handcrafted pieces in the store. We sometimes have a sampling of lampshades from ModiLumi Lighting but encourage you to visit their website for a dazzling selection. Plus, we feature local artists in limited run exhibitions under our Future Heirlooms banner.
FROM ME TO YOU If you need to have your purchase delivered locally, we highly recommend Mint Moving for reliable service in Minnesota. If you need to have a large item shipped, we’ll help you explore options. For select smaller items, we can pack and ship via the United States Postal Service, UPS or FedEx.
WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM OUR FRIENDS We can’t do everything and do it all well. So we partner with and recommend resources to round out our particular expertise. We make referrals for upholstery services and upholstery fabric. Decorating or staging your home. Moving a few pieces or entire households.

Hello and thank you for reaching out. We have several cedar/hope chests in inventory and more waiting for restoration, so we’re not in a position to add another. We appreciate that you gave us consideration.
Interested in a 76” sofa, if one ever appears, please let me know.
Thanks!
Hello. Please email your request to MidModMen@gmail.com We safe all requests there because it makes it possible to share pictures and information.
The step table shown with the red chair is sold.
We post available items in the showcase section at MidModMen.com.
All of our currently available desks are featured in the showcase section. Inventory changes frequently, so check the website and/or follow us on Instagram and Facebook.
We have a vintage 1960s sofa, maker unknown, in the style of designer Adrian Pearsall. We also have a vintage glass-top table with wooden base that also matches Pearsall’s designs. My parents got them on the West coast in the late 1980s (used). Are you interested in purchasing either one?
Hello and thank you for reaching out. Please email pictures to MidModMen@gmail.com. Include information re: condition of the upholstery. And also your time frame.
Thank you for reaching out. We’re no longer carrying this chair style. We appreciate that you gave us consideration.
Hello and thank you for reaching out about the Heywood Wakefield desk. Unfortunately, we don’t carry HW furniture because of the difficulty of restoring it. We appreciate that you gave us consideration.
What would a Lane Acclaim Cocktail Table and End Table had sold for in 1959?
Great question! Unfortunately we don’t have any information on that. Sometimes you can find old newspaper advertisements with store prices. We do know that many Acclaim pieces had large production runs and were priced for the mass market. Shoppers could buy them in regional department stores as well as JC Penney and similar stores.
We visited your shop in October. Looking for a unique coffee table- what do you have in the shop?
We have multiple coffee tables, including several that are truly one of a kind. You can see current options in the showcase section at MidModMen.com.
The available furniture is in the Showcase section at the very top of the site.
We have had a few in the past but none recently. Try our friends in Omaha, Modlines. Tell Scott we sent you.
Do you repair/restore MCM furniture that you do not purchase? I have Acclaim dressers and a coffee table that need some restoration.
Sorry but we don’t have the capacity for outside projects right now.
Unfortunately, we have hundreds of pieces waiting for restoration and don’t have the capacity to take on outside projects.
Do you also buy from individuals, or take consignment pieces?
We buy directly. Please send information to us at MidModMen@gmail.com. Thank you.
Hello. We visited your store last month looking for a small desk. I see one on your website that looks exactly right. I know your store is closed righ now but my husband and I are coming into the city this Saturday, is there anyway we could meet with you and see the desk? It is the Finnline by Stanley desk for $795. My cell is 507-261-3932. Thanks so much, Liza
The desk is one of the few things that’s not buried in the remodel. If you can arrive at 11am Jon will be there to help. Please confirm via email MidModMen@gmail.com.
