Grand opening October 12-14 for MidModMen+friends store

MidModMen is bringing its unique mix of vintage and modern home furnishings and accessories to a bricks-and-mortar location.

MidModMed+friends opens October 12 at 2401 University Avenue West in St. Paul. The 1,200-square-foot gallery features furniture and decor inspired by a mid century and modern design aesthetic that is also practical and affordable.

Furniture offerings range from sleek and modern mid century Danish and American designs to the showier Hollywood Regency style, along with clubby pieces that will feel familiar to fans of Mad Men.

While inventory will change continuously, look for Scandinavian teak from makers like Drylund; American modern from Broyhill, Herman Miller, American of Martinsville, Lane, Bassett, Drexel and others; transitional furniture from Heywood Wakefield and Conant Ball; and unexpected and often unusual from a variety of sources.

The store also features an extensive collection of vintage and modern glassware, bar accessories, dinnerware sets, coffee/tea sets, serving pieces and similar items. MidModMen+friends promises to always have more than 100 items in its “smalls” selection.
