MidModMen+friends offers vintage and modern home decor alongside our selection of restored mid-century and made-in-Minnesota furniture. From practical yet beautiful tabletop accessories to barware, art glass and textiles, each piece is selected for quality. Some are even restored with the same care we put into our furniture.
In the store you’ll often find vintage art glass by Viking Glass, Blenko, Murano, Iittala, Kosta Boda, Aseda and others. Ceramics made by well-regarded names from Italy, Germany and the United States like Bitossi, Red Wing and Marshall Studios (Martz). Stylish barware by Culver, Fred Press, Iittala, Queens Lustreware and more. Tabletop accessories and decor by Dansk, Nissen, Denby, Hall China, Pyrex and others. And there are textiles from Pendleton, Faribo and Orr Health along with imports from Scotland, Ireland, England and Finland.

Tis the season for holiday decorations. We have a small and well-curated selection, from candles and candleholders to ornaments and glassware. There’s Dansk and Holmgaard, Department 56 and Christopher Radko. Plus Swedish, Finnish and British imports.
In 1985 Pfaltzgraff introduced a collection of dinnerware with a Christmas motif designed by Marimekko of Finland. The pattern depicts a modern Christmas tree in green and red on a bright white background. The collection was available for just one year. We have open stock pieces from the collection: 15-3/4″ OVAL PLATTER ($40) | 10-1/2″ DINNER PLATE (6 at $10 each) | 8″ SALAD PLATE (5 at $7 each). All are in excellent condition.
Entertain with understated luxe with this platinum wide band punch set from Queens Lustreware. The 15-piece set includes a large punch bowl, 12 banded roly poly glasses and ladle – all set in a silver rack with handles.
Handsome vintage bookends in the style of Brutalist designer Paul Evans. They have complex, sculpted relief faces and brass bases. DIMENSIONS PER PIECE: 4-1/2″W x 5-1/2″H.
Vintage Orr Health 100% wool blanket with a design inspired by “The Famous Holland Tulip.” Thick wool freshly dry-cleaned. It is reversible, with deeper colors on one side and lighter on the other. Fits king and queen beds. DIMENSIONS: 80″ x 160″.
From Pendleton’s famed National Parks series comes this 1990s vintage Grand Teton blanket. This 5-point blanket – sized best for a queen bed – is 100% virgin wool. It’s thick and heavy and includes the original labels. Dry cleaned and like new. APPROXIMATE DIMENSIONS: 76″ x 84″.
Every year we unfold a selection of vintage blankets and throws, just in time for colder weather. We have full-sized blankets by Orr Health and Faribo, as well as throws from the British Isles and U.S. All are cleaned and in excellent condition.
We created these oversized accent pillows using virgin vintage fabric with a bold, graphic design. These 20″ pillows have feather-down fill and are available as a pair.
We hand-pick our selection of glassware and bar accessories for quality and style. You’ll be proud to give it as a gift or to use it with your most particular guests. The selection is ever-evolving, and you’ll find the greats like Culver, Iittala, Kimiko, Fred Press, Culver, Libbey, Hazel Atlas and others. (Sorry, but shipping is not available.)
In the late 1960s, the Farmers and Mechanics Bank of Minneapolis gave glassware sets to new account holders. The Minneapolis Landmarks set featured images of notable buildings and areas in the city and region. The State of Minnesota set featured icons of the Northstar State, including historic and natural places, the Mayo doctors and the state’s bird – the loon. We have more than a dozen glasses from both collections available individually. All are in excellent condition, some of them never used. They are in the store but not currently on display, so PLEASE ASK TO SEE THEM.
Whirl-A-Way Model HC-1G server keeps beverages hot. It was rescued from a long-defunct St. Paul pharmacy, where it once presided over the lunch counter. It features a two-sided lighted sign that reads “Delicious Hot Chocolate.” There is a heavy duty electrical cord and a metal heating element on which you can place a metal or tempered glass heat-proof pot. Deep-cleaned and in excellent working condition.
This large serving tray from Dansk circa 1970s features gallery rails all around. Cleaned and reconditioned with butcher block oil. DIMENSIONS: 18″W x 14″D x 1-3/4″H. We have many other Dansk and Scandinavian design serving pieces in the store.
This is the 1-1/2 quart sized refrigerator dish with lid from one of Pyrex’s most popular vintage patterns. In excellent condition with crisp pattern in turquoise.
Golden Hearts 2-1/2 quart covered casserole by Pyrex, officially called the Deluxe Cinderella casserole, and introduced in 1959 as a promotional item. In excellent condition with no chips/cracks and only very minor signs of use. DIMENSIONS: 8 3/4”W x 13”L.
Russel Wright is renowned for his tabletop designs. For Harkerware he created the Clover patterned collection. We have three serving platters in coral. LARGE OVAL $50 | LARGER ROUND $40 | STANDARD ROUND $30.
Mesa was a popular dinnerware pattern made from 1990 to 2004 by Dansk. The design inspiration is the American Southwest, with a palette of sky blue, turquoise, terracotta and white sand. The durable stoneware pieces are microwave and dishwasher safe. Each place setting (top center picture) includes a dinner plate, salad plate, soup/salad bowl, cup and saucer.

The Dansk brand is renowned for its signature Kobenstyle cookware, sculptural salt-and-pepper mills, distinctive dinnerware designs and definitely teak serving pieces. The 1973 Dansk Odin stainless steel flatware line is the work of design powerhouse Jens Quistgaard. Odin is so emblematic of modernism that it’s in the permanent collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. We have a place settings and accessory pieces from this sublimely modern pattern. All are in excellent condition, forged in Japan with 18/8 stainless steel and a satin finish.

Twenty-three piece Mediterannia ‘Dominique’ dinnerware set made by Mikasa. Distinctive geometric pattern in olive green and black contrasts with a clean white background. The set has four 5-piece placesettings: dinner plate, salad/dessert plate, bowl, cup and saucer. Extras are a sugar and creamer set and a large chop plate. All are in excellent condition. This set is dishwasher safe.
Set of four salad sized plates designed by Vera Neumann, who is famous for her textile designs from the 1960s and 1970s. The set includes two each of the patterns shown. They are 8-1/4″ in diameter. In excellent condition with the Vera ladybug mark on back.
Vintage Blenko Glass salad set in the Lotus design includes a large serving bowl, four individual bowls and two-piece serving spoons with acrylic handles.
Vintage glass bowls from the Flora line by legendary Finnish designer Oiva Toikka (1931-2019). The set includes a 9-1/2″ serving bowl and one 4″ individual bowl. Both have the original Iittala stickers and are in excellent condition.
Large green glass head form from the early 1970s. Use it for display, decorate it or turn it into accent an lamp. DIMENSIONS: 12″H x 9″D x 7″W.
World globe made circa 1960s by the George F. Cram Company. The classic 12” globe portion still has rich color and shows intricate details. It spins on a metal axis and is illuminated by a low wattage bulb controlled by a line switch. The base is what truly sets it apart. There is a pair of bronze-toned cast metal Atlas figures, mounted on walnut, holding up the ringed globe. DIMENSIONS WITH BASE: 15”L 12“D x 16”H.
This pair of ultra lightweight wood clubs hark back to club-swinging exercises with origins in India and Persia. This pair is signed by the maker or owner, J. Bowman, and dated 1914. DIMENSIONS: 19-1/4″H.
Art Nouveau era blended majolica jardiniere from Weller Pottery. The design depicts mermaids in the water. In excellent condition with small traces of mineral residue. APPROXIMATE DIMENSIONS: 9-1/2″H
While long popular in home decor, art glass hit a peak in mid-century styled homes. Viking Glass was one of the most favored brands, creating pieces in a range of styles and colors. We’ve expanded our selection of Viking Glass in the store, from popular designs like the Epic bowl series to less commonly available ones like animal figures. Organically shaped Blenko IceFloe candleholders circa 1977 created by Don Shepherd (American 1930-2002), an architect and industrial designer noted for his work with Blenko and later at Herman Miller. Available in medium and large sizes.
Mid-century pottery from Marshall Studios, designed by Jane and Gordon Martz. These pieces have an incised design with matte textured gray glaze (Glaze #35). Each piece is hand-signed on the bottom. LIGHTER: M147-35-1 | 5-1/2” high. PLATE: P58-147-35-1 | 6” square.
Colorful greeting cards from the My Pals series by artist Joel Itman, with each card based on an original colored pencil drawing. There are dozens of designs; these are just a sampling. All are blank inside and come with matching envelopes. Printed in Italy. CARD DIMENSIONS: 6.7″ x 4.4″.
