Detailed wood carving from WITCO (Western International Trading Company), that had its heyday in the 1960s-1970s and the height of tiki-style decor popularity. With a shallow bowl on the top, this piece can serve as a display or a cradle for fruit. Carved from cryptomeria japonica wood from the cypress family. DIMENSIONS: 16-1/2″L x 6-3/4″W x 7-3/4″H.
“Warren MacKenzie: Legacy of an American Potter” documents the 2007 retrospective exhibition at the Rochester (Minnesota) Art Center. Soft cover book in wood case. 136 pages in landscape format. Color and black & white photos. Includes insightful commentary and career timeline.

Howard Pierce ceramic figurine depicting a family of five. The design is from the late 1960s with markings on the underside suggesting that this piece was acquired in 1985 – and possibly hand-signed by Pierce. In exceptional condition. DIMENSIONS: 11″H.
“Cryptomeria Avenue” (1938) authentic wood block print by renowned artist Hiroshi Yoshida (Japan – 1876-1950). Pencil-signed and titled. The jizuri seal on the left margin denotes that the artist oversaw the printing of this piece. Framed in Japan. FRAMED DIMENSIONS: 22-1/2”W x 30-1/2”H.
Large-scale sheet metal sculpture by an unidentified artist that combines three-dimensional triangles of varied sizes to create a larger abstract whole. The form is reminiscent of the Concretism and Neoconcretism art movements primarily based in Brazil from the late 1950s to early 1960s. Display pedestal is included. Large-scale original oil painting on canvas by artist John D. Kime (American – b. 1967). Kime’s paintings derive their unique character with layers of color, a mixture of shapes and an almost sculptural texture. Vintage modern fiber art from Don Freedman, who came to prominence in the 1970s and 1980s with his complex, mixed fiber woven creations. This large piece is made primarily with jute and shows a date of 1981. Freedman’s signature appears on a wood button sewn into the lower right corner. Clean and in excellent condition with just minor signs of its age. DIMENSIONS: 44″W x 46″H.
Large-scale wall sculpture from C. Jere (Curtis Jere) features a classic mid-century motif: tall ships in a harbor. Made of brass and copper, this large but delicate piece has two large sailboats as the central focus, with a village and harbor buildings at either edge. Signed but not dated, but sources suggest that this piece is from the late 1960s or early 1970s. Has dual hooks for hanging or sits solidly on a shelf. DIMENSIONS: 54-3/8″L x 5″D x 21″H.

“Hommage a Toulouse Lautrec” (The Labours of Hercules) framed lithograph by influential British artist and satirical cartoonist Ronald Searle (1920-2011). Hand-signed by the artist, dated 1969 and numbered 49/70. Includes the original purchase documentation from 1970. FRAMED DIMENSIONS: 34-1/4“L x 28-1/8“H.
Original steel wall sculpture titled “On the Direct Route” by Rick Stewart who creates distinctive modernist art. Each of his pieces are one-of-a-kind. This one incorporates cut steel panels, detailed figures formed from molten steel rods, acid etching and rust for visual depth. Hand-signed and dated 2011 in verso. DIMENSIONS: 35””W x 5-3/4”D x 19”H.
