Solid American ash easy chairs hand built by our creatively prolific furniture-making partner. His original design channels classic mid-century style with flared arms and raked legs. The frames are paired with new cushions covered in 50% recycled leather. Available individually or as a pair.
This nine-drawer, two-door lowboy dresser from the iconic Broyhill Brasilia series offers ample storage with abundant style. There are two stacks of drawers on each side, featuring the signature Brasilia drawer pulls. The two asymmetrical doors in the center, with the equally iconic parabolic design, conceal a set of open front drawers. Fully restored. DIMENSIONS: 66″L X 19″D X 31″H.
The Broyhill Brasilia line of furniture is a modernist dream with an iconic parabola design motif. This headboard was designed for a full bed but is easily adapted to accommodate a queen mattress and boxspring set. Freshly restored. Includes the matching footboard – but no side rails – if you want to set it up as a full bed. DIMENSIONS: 60″W x 40″H.
The largest mirror in the Broyhill Brasilia furniture line features a rich walnut frame with the scalloped detail that defines the collection. Freshly rejuvenated. DIMENSIONS: 44″W x 40-1/2″H.
This 1960s vintage teak frame sofa by designer Arne Wahl Iversen has one of the most dramatic back profiles of the era. Made by Komfort (Denmark) it has three generous seats, each with the original Danish wool cushion covers. We cleaned the covers and added all new foam plus new platform webbing and cover. FRAME DIMENSIONS: 72″L x 32″D x 31″H.
Something old. Something new. Our furniture-making partner created a floating top coffee table using reclaimed teak for a vintage headboard and new African mahogany for the base and accent. It has a dramatic profile with sharply tapered legs and a thin edge top. Truly one of a kind. DIMENSIONS: 54-1/4″L x 23-1/3″D x 16-3/4″H.
Handsome walnut frame bench with a floating upholstered top – a signature design feature by Danish-American master Jens Risom. Fully restored base and brand new cushion upholstered in a supple black covering that’s 50% recycled leather. Classic button tufting on the top. DIMENSIONS: 48″L x 18″D x 17″H.
Designed byFolke Ohlsson and made in Sweden by DUX, this club chair strikes an era-defining profile. The roomy bucket seat is suspended in a teak cradle frame. Restored frame and freshly upholstered in a blue-teal fabric. DIMENSIONS: 29″W x 29″D x 26″H. Seat 16″H.
Lux and large Danish rya. Designed by Carin Agner Nielsen for Ege Rya circa 1960s. It’s 100% wool – excluding the jute backing – and features three large circles in neutral earth tones. This piece was used as a wall hanging so it’s never been walked on. DIMENSIONS: 6’7”L x 4’7”W.
Rarely available complete bed frame from the early 1960s Broyhill Saga collection. Included are restored walnut headboard and footboard, plus the original side rails. Just add foundation slats, full mattress and boxspring for a vintage modern nest. The headboard features Saga’s signature four-point star design. HEADBOARD DIMENSIONS: 55-1/2″W x 37-1/2″H and 17-3/4″H to the bottom of the horizontal board.
Handsome three-drawer walnut accent table from Founders Furniture circa 1960s. Designed by Jack Cartwright and newly restored. DIMENSIONS: 30″W x 30″D x 21″H.
These Danish teak nightstands are truly one of a kind. We adapted them – they once hung suspended from a now-missing headboard – by adding steel trapezoidal legs. They have a small footprint but plus-sized functionality with drawers and open shelves. DIMENSIONS: 15-7/8″W x 12-1/2″D x 22″H.
Another handmade piece from an original design by our resident furniture-making partner. This sleek two-seater has a solid white oak frame and distinctive modernist design. Walnut bookcases from the John Van Koert-designed Drexel Profile collection. Each bookcase has an adjustable shelf. Restored walnut. Versatile size for small spaces. DIMENSIONS: 34″L x 14″D x 32″H.
We collaborated with our furniture-making partner to turn a 1950s vintage vanity into a one-of-a-kind piece of furniture. The vanity came from a Paul McCobb for Calvin Furniture set designed to hang from two adjacent chests. We wanted it to be freestanding and involved our partner to craft a set of legs complementing McCobb’s straightforward aesthetic. Open the lid to reveal a large mirror and multi-section storage compartment. Drop the front forward to create more work space. Restored solid walnut case with custom-built legs stained black. Lane Furniture’s Acclaim series was one of the most successful furniture lines in the 1960s for good reasons: versatile styling, quality materials and exceptional craftsmanship. This Acclaim coffee table is freshly restored and ready for a new generation of enjoyment. DIMENSIONS: 56″L x 19″W x 14-1/2″H.
Handsome restored 1961 coffee table from Lane Furniture. It has a classic modern surfboard shape and the top is inlaid with 18 burlwood squares. DIMENSIONS: 50″L x 21″D x 15″H.
Vintage 1960s teak table designed by Karl-Erik Ekselius and made in Sweden by J.O. Carlsson, Vetlanda. Many Scandinavian homes use taller tables like this as coffee/cocktail tables. But it works just as well alongside a sofa or chairs. Rejuvenated with an oil finish. DIMENSIONS: 27-1/2″ W x 27-1/2″D x 20-1/2″H.

MARTZ LAMPS
Impressively tall and slender stoneware lamp designed by Jane and Gordon Martz for Marshall Studios. This lamp first appears as model M193-28-1 in a late 1950s catalog. It has a matte gray glaze and is incised vertically. It carries the Martz signature and comes with the original wood finial and lampshade. DIMENSIONS: 46″H with lampshade and 30″H to top of neck x 20″W diameter of lampshade.
Handsome ceramic lamp from the creative team of Jane and Gordon Martz for Marshall Studios circa 1950s-1960s. The shapely base has a dark charcoal glaze with subtle shifts in the color depending the light. It includes the original teak finial, and we added a charcoal lampshade that fits perfectly. Handsome smaller lamp from the renowned Marshall Studios under the creative guidance of Jane and Gordon Martz. This handsome ceramic lamp features ablue and gray ombre glazed body. Includes a new coordinating lampshade. DIMENSIONS: 16″ high with shade (9″ base only) x 9″ shade diameter.

These McCobb Model 3015 chairs are a thoroughly modern take on the classic wingback. The design is from 1957 and we brought them into the present with fresh upholstery using Wolf-Gordon Raphael fabric in the Ultramarine colorway. We chose it because of it’s similarity to the original fabric and also for it chunky texture and durability. These chairs are offered individually. OVERALL DIMENSIONS: 32″W x 36″D x 39″H. SEAT DIMENSIONS: 17″H x 23″W x 21″D.
These Paul McCobb Model 1312 easy chairs are the epitome of streamlined modern design. Introduced in 1956, they have simple walnut bases, a low seat profile plus slim and slightly curved back rests. We restored the walnut bases and reupholstered the chairs in a small-pattern herringbone fabric. Offered as a pair. DIMENSIONS: 27-1/2″W x 27-1/2″D x 30-1/2″H.
This very mid-century looking easy chair is a recent offering from Room and Board. It has all the style of a previous era – especially the fantastic houndstooth upholstery – with the build quality of the something new. In immaculate condition with a firm seating feel. Relax in mid-century luxury in this restored, Italian-made lounge chair. The solid wood frame features Danish-inspired lines with sculptural details. Brand new cushions made with designer fabric from Geiger in a tight tattersall pattern.

Kodawood-style mid-century tub chair with a restored wood frame and updated with fresh teal tweed fabric. DIMENSIONS: 27-1/2″W x 27-1/2″D x 27-1/2″H and 17″ seat height.
These elegant chairs are the essence of modern minimal furniture. Designed by Finn Østergaard and made in Denmark by Lindebjerg Møbelfabrik, the Model B-411 chairs feature solid beech frames. The upholstery is microsuede in a jewel tone periwinkle – the precise intersection of purple and blue. There are two available.
All that was mid-century wasn’t also modern in design. More complex designs using cane, silk brocade fabrics and other flourishes were just as popular. These vintage chairs from Statesville are the perfect summary of that design aesthetic. In excellent condition and offered as a pair. DIMENSIONS: 25″W x 30″D x 34-3/4″H with 17″ seat height.
1970s vintage lounge set with newer upholstery, from the canvas foundation to the supple leatherette seat cushions. The chair reclines and swivels on a chrome-plated steel tube base with a distinctive three-petal base. There is a matching ottoman.
Solfjädern (Sun Feather) chair by Swedish designer Sonna Rosén (1920-2007). Introduced in 1948, it earned the Museum of Modern Arts Good Design Prize in 1952. Solid beech frame with freshly upholstered seat in tweed fabric. Made in Sweden by Nassjo Stolfabrik. DIMENSIONS: 24-3/4””W x 22”D x 30”H x 17” seat height.
These smaller scale chairs punch above their weight – way above – with bold new upholstery. Black, red, white and tan converge into a pop-art print that will make these chairs the focal point of your room’s design. There are two available. The timelessly modern Rondo chair was design by interior architect Jan Lunde Knudsen circa 1961 and manufactured by Karl Sørlie & Sønner in Sarpsborg, Norway. It is simultaneously minimalist and inviting, combining a simple polished steel frame with rounded seat and hoop backrest. Freshly upholstered in high-grade leatherette. Dimensions are 23″W x 17″D x 27-1/2″H to the top of the seat back.

This extra-tall chest of drawer makes maximum use of your floor space, offering big storage in six drawers. This is a retired Room and Board model and features a walnut finish and black steel drawer pulls. It’s in top condition. Stylish and compact teak desk made in Sweden. Although the design is decades old, it’s the perfect modern work space for a laptop or tablet in a home office. The cylinder drum top has an inlaid teak design and glides up to reveal the work area: five open cubbies and a desktop that extends then glides back in when not needed. Authentic teak flip-top partner desk designed by Peter Løvig Nielsen and made in Denmark. This ingenious design allows you to expand your work surface with the flip of the tiered compartment. When in its stepped position it serves as a storage hub, with dual pull-out trays. The desk features four drawers – two large and two small – plus semi-hidden compartments in the back. Get the drop on your home office filing needs with this clever compact file cabinet. Made in Denmark, this teak beauty has a drop-down tambour door (with skeleton key lock). Handsome desk from Broyhill Furniture’s Saga collection circa early 1960s. Distinctively designed with a gently bowed front that flairs to rounded corners. The drawer handles taper to points on each end. And the desk is finished on all sides, so it looks good at any angle. Impressively built, early mid-century walnut cabinet features three drawers that open smoothly on steel glides. Durable walnut laminate top. The whole cabinet rolls on the original ball casters. Fully restored. DIMENSIONS: 18″W x 18″D x 25-1/2″H.
So many ways to use this compact teak cabinet. For your stereo components or a small TV? Maybe it’s a coffee bar or a cocktail server. We adapted it by adding legs so it sits a little taller. When this mid-century Broyhill curio cabinet lost its base we gave it a lift – and a fresh look – with new legs. Then we refreshed the entire walnut cabinet exterior. It has glass on three sides and three interior shelves, two of them glass. Use it as a showcase for art or as a slim bar cabinet. DIMENSIONS: 18″W x 14-1/4″D X 64-1/4″H.
Tall and sleek etagere from high-end furniture maker Belle Meade with an Asian-inspired flare. A St. Paul interior designer embellished the black lacquered wood with brushed gold panels. Multiple asymmetrically placed shelves. DIMENSIONS: 31-1/16″W x 9-1/2″D x 76-1/4″H.

We’re proud to team with a local artisan and offer his newly made-in-Minnesota furniture and lighting. From chairs and tables to lamps, all of the designs are original and everything is hand-built. Many pieces are one-of-a-kind and all are available exclusively at MidModMen+friends.
The latest chair from our furniture-making partner. As always, it’s an original design and hand-built with an emphasis on quality materials and construction. He used solid white oak and gave it an oiled finish to warm up the wood tone. We created the custom cushions using Designtex Hashtag fabric, both for its looks and durability. FRAME DIMENSIONS: 26″W x 26″D x 30″H with an 18″ seat height.
This distinctive piece is a collaboration between two of our store partners. One of them designed and hand built the solid ash frame, which features a semi-opaque black finish that highlights the wood grain. The other partner completed the look with new cushions using vintage fabrics in black, winter white and red. Unlike some vintage daybeds, this piece is rock solid. FRAME DIMENSIONS: 71″L x 27″D x 33″H to the top of the backrest.
Handsome bench from our furniture-making partner. It’s an original design and he built it by hand using solid walnut. It might be a different design language, but all of his hallmark characteristics shine through: imaginative design, high-quality materials, solid construction, thoughtful functionality and attention to detail. Made of solid cherry with a wenge door handle. Includes a French cleat for easy hanging. CABINET DIMENSIONS (excluding crown and handle): 32-1/4″W x 6-3/4″D x 28″H. We’ve said it before and it definitely applies to this mid-century ottoman: sometimes you rescue furniture for what underneath. We saved two of these ottomans because they were so well built, despite worn and ugly original upholstery. We updated them with punchy patterned fabric and restore the solid walnut legs. Iconic IN50 coffee table designed by Isamu Noguchi (American 1904-1988) and introduced in 1944. This is an authentic model purchased by the original owners from the Museum of Modern Art in January 1988. DIMENSIONS: 50″L x 36“W x 15-3/4”H.
This low-key Danish modern piece pairs a coffee table with a planter for a multi-purchase accent. Restored all teak frame and a strong sheet metal planter box, which we lacquered in white to match its original look. The recessed tray is suitable for potted plants or any decor vignette you desire (it is not waterproof). OVERALL DIMENSIONS: 39-1/4″L x 19-3/8″D x 15-3/4″H.
Early 1960s accent table from Lane Furniture’s Perception collection. This open cabinet configuration is harder to find. But it still features Perception’s design signatures like basketweave panels, contoured legs and brass ball accents. DIMENSIONS: 24″W x 24″D x 22″H.

John Keal created elegant designs for multiple premium furniture-makers. But his creations for Brown-Saltman are among is most distinctive. The burlwood top and beveled edges on this hexagonal accent table set it apart. Fully restored. DIMENSIONS: 20-1/4″W x 18-1/4″W x 15-3/4″H.
Classic modernist accent table in the style of Warren Platner. The cinched steel base and round glass top make it seem lighter than air. Perfect for placement between chairs. Compliments Barcelona-style pieces. DIMENSIONS: 22″ diameter x 14-1/2″ tall.
This early 1970s Danish modern coffee table designed by Niels Bach in solid oak is all clean lines and powerful construction. Use it as a coffee or corner table. Restored with a clearcoat finish. DIMENSIONS: 27-1/4″W x 27″D x 16″H.
Broyhill’s Brasilia line wasn’t the only mid-century design that channeled a sculpted, freeform look. Bassett Furniture mined a similar vibe, and these tables from that collection. We restored the table frames in a walnut finish. The glass is in excellent with minor wear. OVERALL DIMENSIONS: 20″W x 30″L x 20″H.

Early 20th Century cabinet-sized humidor in an Asian design motif. This piece is walnut with burled wood and inlay details. The polished tin-lined interior is in exceptional condition. We refinished the top and did a respectful rejuvenation of the rest. DIMENSIONS: 12-1/2″W x 9-1/2″D x 23-1/2″H.

Elegant slipper chair designed by John Lubberts and Lambert Mulder for Tomlinson Furniture’s late 1950s Sophisticates collection. This chair is in exceptional condition. The solid pecan frame is near-perfect and the cane back panel is mint. The box cushion seat is a soft blue with a cable pattern.
