This Lane Furniture chest circa 1968 is a true multi-tasker. FIRST, it offers storage for about 150 LPs – its original design purpose – in five divided sections. SECOND, it doubles as a sturdy bench with an upholstered cushion top in classic black vinyl. BONUS #1: it rolls smoothly on four ball casters. BONUS #2: it’s freshly restored. DIMENSIONS: 29-1/2″L x 16″D x 19″H.

Powerfully built but elegantly designed solid wood bench from our furniture-making partner. He used andiroba, a tropical species in the mahogany family that’s safely available for harvest. The bench top is three linear slabs with slim spacing between. The base frame and legs are built strong to support seating for adults – kids, too. Also makes a great coffee table. DIMENSIONS: 58″L x 15-1/4″D x 17-1/2″H.

These sturdy modern ottomans add a layer of function (and style, of course) to most any space. We have three available in black (shown here) and three available in bright green. DIMENSIONS: 25-1/2″ DIAMETER x 18-1/2″ TALL.

These petite barrel back chairs were played out cosmetically – holes in the original cane backs, drab upholstery on the seats, scuffed frame – so it was time for an upgrade. So, we cast off the cane in favor of an upholstered back using a vintage fabric. The restored solid wood frames took on an amber tone. Available individually. DIMENSIONS: 22-3/4″W x 23″D x 31″H.

Carlo of Hollywood was one the quintessential mid-century modern creators of decorative art. Often abstract and sometimes over the top, these paintings are highly collectible. This is a two-panel painting with a textured surface. A tag on the back of one panel attests to these being actual paintings – probably on masonite. DIMENSIONS PER PANEL: information to come.

The authentic mid-century mahogany coffee table is fully restored – even the planter tray is freshly painted. DIMENSIONS: 52″L x 26-1/2″D x 14″H.

This handsome restored cedar chest from Ed Roos Company (Illinois) dates back to 1941. The waterfall design was on point for the pre-modernist era, and still exudes character today. The exterior is primarily walnut with beautiful wood figuring. The lines are simple except for some period flourishes at the base. Inside is an extra-large, cedar-lined compartment. Inside the lid is the original paperwork, including the three-year moth protection guarantee – shown with a Sept. 1, 1944 expiration. EXTERIOR DIMENSIONS: 47-1/2″W x 18-3/4″D x 21-1/2″H.

The 1920s International Style movement was the genesis of some of the most important furniture designs ever. While some are lost to history (or just design history books), others became the very definition of modernity. Like the LC Collection collaboratively designed by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand. The collection includes the LC3 Grand Comfort lounge chair, with a chrome-plated steel outer frame that supports thick leather cushions. These are authentic, with the Cassina mark embossed in the leather. DIMENSIONS: 39″W x 28-3/4″D x 24-1/2″H.

We truly appreciate the impressive build quality of old Flexsteel chairs, particularly the steel under-carriage that makes the frame long-lasting. But the visible part of the chair counts, too. This one sports fresh upholstery in a durable, textured dark orange. There’s even more to appreciate: the taller back for a more comfortable sit, button tufts for style and gently tapered walnut legs.

Sitting in this freshly reupholstered barrel chair is like a hug – a soft, relaxing hug. But if you’re the fidgety type, it also does a 360-degree swivel. Revived with orange tweed fabric, new foundation and a new seat cushion. DIMENSIONS: 27-1/2″W x 30″D x 27-1/2″H. SEAT: 16″H x 21″D.

A landfill went to bed hungry because of this project that was created using all rescued materials. The cushion was saved from a vintage chair set for a makeover. The result is truly one of a kind. DIMENSIONS: 23″W x 23″D x 17-1/2″H.

Our furniture making partner crafted this console table using solid African mahogany, an exotic wood with a coppery glow and complex figuring. From the Conant Ball Furniture Company Norsemates collection in the late 1950s to early 1960s, this free-standing room divider is both a work of art and a practical piece of furniture. It’s made of solid birch, and although its primary purpose is to partition larger spaces, the open dowels in the back and a raised bench-style base keep it airy. In exceptional condition. DIMENSIONS: 52″W x 18-3/4″D (15″ bench depth) x 62-3/8″H.

Designed and developed in 1946 by Charles and Ray Eames, this clever room divider might be just right for current times. We all need a little privacy, but it’s nice to share space with the right people, too. The Folding Wood Screen (FWS) adds flexibility and portability, with six undulating panels that unfold from a slim vertical to a five-foot divider. The panels are made using ash veneer on the front and back over layers of maple. Each panel is connected with a polypropylene mesh fabric, allowing flexible positioning of the panels. The FWS was in production from 1946 to 1955, retired and then reintroduced by Herman Miller in 1994. This piece is from that second generation of production. OPEN DIMENSIONS: 60″L x 2-1/4″D x 68″H, and 10″W in the folded position.

DIMENSIONS: 26″W x 22″D x 33″H to the top of the chair’s back.

Jens Risom was noted for his floating top designs in which the surface – a tabletop, chair seat or bench seat – appeared to hover above the supporting frame. DIMENSIONS: 48″L x 19″D x 17″H.

Lane Furniture made a name for itself in mid-century modern designs throughout the 1960s. They used mixed woods with walnut as the go-to choice and unique styling. Fortunately, that aesthetic carried over into the 1970s, and this accent table pair is a great example. The primary wood is walnut and the tables have a dot pattern that harks back to the Acclaim collection. These are fully restored and ready to use – even as a nightstand option. Sold as a pair. DIMENSIONS: 21″W x 27″D x 22″H.

Sleek console-sofa table handmade using contracting woods. The top is highly figured curly maple and the base is a tropical mahogany variety. DIMENSIONS: 46″L x 14″D x 26″H.

This configuration includes a walnut frame, slim top drawer with signature McCobb pulls, two woven cane shelves and an inlaid leather top. We cleaned and conditioned the leather to keep it supple. DIMENSIONS: 20″W x 24″D x 19-1/4″H.

The 1960s era designers at Bassett Furniture must have had (Broyhill) Brasilia envy when they created this line of furniture. It mimics the latter’s parabolic swoop while establishing its own look. Fully restored walnut with a trestle base. DIMENSIONS: 30″L x 20″D x 20-1/4″H.
