Use this impressive walnut credenza to make a design statement while still be pragmatic about function. This piece comes from the Alma Desk Company Castilian collection circa 1960s. The design is a step above and the quality of materials and construction match. We restored it to enhance the walnut wood patterns. Storage space is abundant, with dual bi-fold doors in the center giving access to a large compartment. On the left is a file depth drawer and utility drawer. Opposite is a four-drawer stack. Newly upholstery in an orange tweed fabric that has shots of deep red, pink and cream in the weave. DIMENSIONS: 29-1/2″W x 32″D x 32″H.

They are signed and numbered by the artist and displayed in 20″x 16″ black frames.

Our +friends partners rock! Sometimes by bringing a rocking chair into the collection that’s truly one-of-a-kind. This chair has a transitionally styled frame and is newly upholstered in a decidedly modern fabric. The solid wood base, rockers and arms are freshly restored.
It’s amazing how the simplest of design lines can create the greatest drama in furniture. Handsome burl wood clad sideboard designed by Milo Baughman and made by Thayer Coggin. The cabinet is suspended from a chrome-plated steel base. Freshly rejuvenated exterior and cleaned interior. DIMENSIONS: 72″L x 18″D x 35″H.
The Plateau coffee table is a rare design from the popular Acclaim series by Lane Furniture. It features an extra-wide footprint, pass-through drawer that opens on both sides, and the singular Acclaim styling that made the line so appealing. We restored it from top to bottom – and even the sides – so it’s in exceptional condition. Stamped with manufacturing date of November 30, 1963. DIMENSIONS: 52″L x 32″D x 14-1/2″H.

DIMENSIONS: 26″W x 22″D x 33″H to the top of the chair’s back.
Floor cushion sets were a thing in the 1960s, adding casual seating and often a little pizzazz. Our partner found the base cushion on casters, but the companion cushions were long gone. So she had three compatible cushions newly made. Sold as a set. OVERALL DIMENSIONS: 20″W x 20″D x 21-1/2″H.
| FEATURED DESIGNER: JENS RISOM |
Jens Risom walnut dining set that includes a rarely seen narrow dining table. While the table is smaller, it perfectly accommodates seating for six. So the set includes its original six chairs: two C 240 arm chairs and four C 242 side chairs. We restored everything and highlighted the rich wood tones with a walnut oil finish. We also reupholstered the chairs – both the seats and backs – with Designtex Hashtag fabric. Offered as a set. TABLE DIMENSIONS: 66″L x 36″W x 29-3/4″H.
Adapting vintage furniture that’s well-built but not not well-configured for modern needs is both craft and art. We reimagined an oversized, laminate top Jens Risom accent table as a roomy ottoman or bench by cutting down the square top to a more manageable size. Then we added a punch of color using vintage Ikat style fabric to create an upholstered top – box-stitched and button tufted. The walnut base retains the Risom signature floating look. DIMENSIONS: 32-1/2W x 27″D x 18″H.
This restored Jens Risom Design bench is bringing sexy back to wherever you place it. It’s a 1960s design with Risom’s signature floating top profile. The base is solid walnut and fully restored. The bench top is newly upholstered – with box stitching and button tufting – in a high-quality charcoal fabric. DIMENSIONS: 48″L x 24″D x 18″H.
This reimagined Jens Risom C220 side chair blends a little charm with a classic modern profile. The frame was made using solid walnut, and it’s freshly upholstered in cream fabric with an uncluttered brown leaf design. The chair might seems slight, but the cushions have spring cores that make for a more substantial feel.
Tinkering with a modern master’s furniture designs is a delicate balance between making the piece functional and honoring the original aesthetic. We think we nailed it on this Jens Risom Design Group R chest that came to us without a base. The first part of the process was to restore the walnut exterior and then polish the signature Risom brass drawer pulls. Next, we collaborated with a local maker to design and craft solid walnut legs that are both strong and integrated. DIMENSIONS: 36″W x 21″D (plus 1-1/2″ drawer pull projection) x 31-1/4″H.

Another artfully designed console table from our furniture-making partner. He crafted this one using solid hickory, which has distinctive figuring in the wood. Here’s another handcrafted original from our furniture-designing and making partner: a bench using South American-sourced andiroba wood. DIMENSIONS: 49″L x 15″D x 30″H to the top of the back and 18″H seat.
Powerfully built but elegantly designed solid wood bench from our furniture-making partner. He used andiroba, a tropical species in the mahogany family that is safely available for harvest. The fully restored exterior features walnut panels on three sides plus a pair of doors with brushed aluminum pulls. The top is a work of art with eye-popping, book-matched rosewood. This recent vintage upright cabinet from Room and Board is the perfect balance of substantial and streamlined. 14 shelves total and ten of them are adjustable. The heavy wire shelf supports keep them firmly in place. DIMENSIONS: 54-1/2”W x 12”D x 77”H.
Waste not, want not is our is our unofficial motto. We like nothing better than rehabbing castoff furniture for a new generation (or two or three) of users. This hutch top was separated from its base long before we rescued it. So we needed to create a new base for it. One of our partners took the challenge on and designed and built a base using salvaged piano wood. The result is a unique piece perfect for displaying objects and/or housing books. Features lighted interior with glass shelves. DIMENSIONS; 45″W x 12-1/4″D x 59-1/2″H.
Substantial Danish modern console table with a teak base and frame. The top is a mosaic of ceramic tile, glass tile and slate. DIMENSIONS: 53″L x 17″D x 26-1/4″H.
This nearly new sofa from Finnish maker Luonto is the pinnacle of minimalist style. It’s straightforward design and compact size offer versatility for smaller spaces. It’s kid- and pet-friendly: remarkably well built with durable warm charcoal gray fabric that has hints of copper in the weave. DIMENSIONS: 68″L x 34″D x 29″H.

DIMENSIONS: 23″W x 17″D x 27-1/2″H to the top of the seat back.
Beautiful 1970s reproduction of the bentwood rocking chair made by Thonet with a design dating from the early 1900s. Just like the original, this chair has a rounded bamboo frame, an open bamboo hoop at the base of the back, and caned seat and seat back. It has a wood-burned “made in Poland” stamp in the frame. The frame and cane are in exceptional condition.
Lane Furniture’s Perception Series was introduced in 1960 and featured organic elements like curving legs and basketweave fascia on drawer fronts. This restored lamp table incorporates both design elements, along with the signature brass bead that connects the legs to the drawer box. DIMENSIONS: 22″W x 30″D x 20″H.
Is it a tiny desk? A petite server-dry bar? Maybe a crafting table? While it began life as a sewing machine cabinet, we updated it to create many ways to use this piece. The flip-open top doubles the amount of surface space, bolstered by a solid wood slide-out support. There’s even a hidden storage compartment that pops out from the side. Everything’s freshly restored. DIMENSIONS: 26-1/4″W (52-5/8″W when fully open) x 18-1/8″D x 32″H.
Designed and developed in 1946 by Charles and Ray Eames, this clever room divider might be just right for current times. We all need a little privacy, but it’s nice to share space with the right people, too. The Folding Wood Screen (FWS) adds flexibility and portability, with six undulating panels that unfold from a slim vertical to a five-foot divider. The panels are made using ash veneer on the front and back over layers of maple. Each panel is connected with a polypropylene mesh fabric, allowing flexible positioning of the panels. The FWS was in production from 1946 to 1955, retired and then reintroduced by Herman Miller in 1994. This piece is from that second generation of production. OPEN DIMENSIONS: 60″L x 2-1/4″D x 68″H, and 10″W in the folded position.
This free-standing room divider is an extraordinary combination; it’s both a work of art and a practical piece of furniture. From the Conant Ball Furniture Company Norsemates collection in the late 1950s to early 1960s, it is made of solid birch. Although its primary purpose is to partition larger spaces, it does so with a certain airiness: open dowels in the back and a raised bench-style base. We’ve imagined a number of uses for it. Our favorite is a stereo bench with one side of the base for components and the other for LPs. In exceptional condition. DIMENSIONS: 52″W x 18-3/4″D (15″ bench depth) x 62-3/8″H.
Handsome display cabinet made in Denmark by Dyrlund and featuring top-notch materials, construction and finishes – including lots of teak solids. The compact size and open/concealed storage spaces add to its versatility. The lower section has four generous drawers with wood drawer boxes. Elegant black walnut coffee table with soft edges all around and thin sculpted legs. The dark figuring in the wood is extra-special and feels almost like rosewood. Fully restored. DIMENSIONS: 32″ square x 14″ high.
It might be “just” an accent table, but its sophisticated styling and high-quality materials put it on par with major pieces of furniture. The double-door cabinet rests on a base with double stretchers. It was made using all walnut and has a rosewood inlay on the top. Even the solid brass pulls are a step above. Freshly restored. DIMENSIONS: 25″W x 25″D x 22-1/2″H.
Versatile walnut table with round sunburst top and pedestal base. Perfect as an accent table, or as a perch for a prominent piece of art glass, sculpture or plant. DIMENSIONS: 23-1/2″ diameter x 21-1/8″ tall.
Designed by Niels Otto Møller and introduced by J.L. Møller Møbelfabrik in 1963, the Model 80A stool is a Danish modern design classic. We have two available. Both have solid teak legs and hardwood frames. One features classic Danish woven cord and the other is upholstered in a neutral tweed fabric. DIMENSIONS: 19-1/2″L x 14″W x 18-1/2″H.
This early 1970s Danish modern coffee table designed by Niels Bach in solid oak is all clean lines and powerful construction. Use it as a coffee or corner table. DIMENSIONS: 27-1/4″W x 27″D x 16″H.
Throw a little variety into your decor with a piece or two that shakes up the monotony of an all-modern aesthetic. This handsome two-drawer antique chest might do the trick. The design is still relatively simple – like the best of modern – but has some flourishes that set it apart. All wood construction with a black exterior finish, red lacquered drawer boxes, distinctive drawer pulls and a beveled top edge. DIMENSIONS: 22-3/4″ square x 23″ high.
Paul McCobb designed this compact accent table for Calvin Furniture’s Irwin Collection circa 1950s. This configuration includes a walnut frame, slim top drawer with signature McCobb pulls, two woven cane shelves and an inlaid leather top. The cane is in perfect condition and we’ve rejuvenated the walnut. The leather top is fully intact – no tears or holes – with an age-appropriate patina. We cleaned and conditioned the leather to keep it supple. DIMENSIONS: 20″W x 24″D x 19-1/4″H.
