Future Heirlooms: pandemic-inspired art by Kathy Anscomb


MidModMen+friends is pleased to present a mini-exhibit of original works of art as part of its Future Heirlooms series. There are six original pieces in the exhibit, which can be seen in the store Thursday through Sunday from 11AM to 5PM. The store is located at 2401 University Avenue West, St. Paul, MN 55114.

These intricate ink on canvas drawings were inspired by the indoors-looking-out experience and day-after-day repetition that Anscomb has experienced in a time of pandemic.Anscomb is a Duluth-based artist who exhibits in Minnesota and Wisconsin galleries, including Lizzard’s Art Gallery in Duluth. She received her B.S. degree in Art from the University of Minnesota-Duluth with a focus on abstract painting. She studied alongside Freddy Munoz, a celebrated painter whose works are featured in the Walker Art Center.
