We’re always looking for ways to be supportive of our Twin Cities community, and animal welfare is our particular passion. That’s why we said “yes” when a volunteer for Second Chance Animal Rescue, based in White Bear Lake, MN, approached us for help.

The group had received a donation of exceptional vintage mid-century dinnerware. The volunteer knew it was worthy of more than a garage sale offering and asked if we had an interest in it. So, we signed up to promote and sell the set for them (see details below) to ensure that Second Chance got the maximum benefit – along with some extra awareness.

Here are the details:

• KOKURA WARE (Japan) dinnerware set in the Glencove pattern, a sophisticated retro design in pink, blue and gray on a white background
• EIGHT complete place settings with five pieces each: dinner plate, bread/butter plate, bowl, cup and saucer

Second Chance Animal Rescue is a nonprofit 501(c)(3), all-volunteer organization incorporated in 1994 that is dedicated to rescuing, caring for and adopting out homeless dogs and cats into loving and responsible homes. We educate the public on respect for all animal life, including the importance of spaying and neutering in order to reduce the number of animals euthanized.
