Kipp Stewart and Stuart MacDougall created the renowned Declaration collection for Drexel Furniture in the late 1950s. This walnut dining set captures their design vision: modernism with a slight nod to classic styling. This restored set includes a dual dropleaf table with extra large expansion leaf. So you can size it intimate, friendly or full on dinner party. With both leaves down, there’s roomy seating for two. Flip the leaves up and add the external leaf (not shown) to seat eight. The set includes six matching chairs: two armchairs and four standard. Bonus: a complete set of protective pads. Acquiring a Paul McCobb easy chair is an exciting event. But getting a pair is a professional thrill. This pair of McCobb Model 3015 chairs is a thoroughly modern take on the classic wingback. The design is from 1957 and we brought them into 2024 (and beyond) with fresh upholstery using Wolf-Gordon Raphael fabric in the Ultramarine colorway. We chose it because of it’s similarity to the original fabric and also for it chunky texture and durability. These chairs are offered as a pair. OVERALL DIMENSIONS: 32″W x 36″D x 39″H. Paul McCobb designed this three-tiered accent table for Calvin Furniture’s Irwin Collection circa 1950s. It features a solid walnut frame, slim top drawer with signature McCobb pulls, two woven cane shelves and an inlaid leather top. The cane is in perfect condition and we’ve rejuvenated the walnut. The leather top is fully intact – no tears or holes – with patina. DIMENSIONS: 20″W x 28″D x 19-1/4″H.
Dream big with this restored walnut headboard as your backdrop. Made circa 1960s by R-Way Furniture, it features four raised solid walnut panels with five cutouts beneath the top rail. DIMENSIONS: 78-1/2″W x 35″H x 20-1/4″H to bottom rail.
Stunning, high-quality lithograph by French mid-century artist Bernard Buffet. The original painting of “Still Life With Fruit and Bouquet” is from 1962. This lithograph was professionally framed by Gabbert’s in Edina, Minnesota. The frame is gold-painted wood and the image is protected by non-glare acrylic. FRAMED DIMENSIONS: 35″W x 31″H.
A favorite interior designer talked us into buying this chair, extolling the quality of the underlying frame despite its ‘meh’ upholstery. We gave in to her persuasion and are glad we did. The fully restored solid walnut frame has subtle design refinements like sculpted arm caps and beveled supports. The seat is freshly upholstered in a durable fabric with a high percentage of reclaimed fibers. It’s built for comfort with a lower and slightly deeper seat, proportioned to fit tall and short loungers alike.
We truly appreciate the impressive build quality of old Flexsteel chairs, particularly the steel under-carriage that makes the frame long-lasting. But the visible part of the chair counts, too. This one sports fresh upholstery in a durable, textured dark orange. There’s even more to appreciate: the taller back for a more comfortable sit, button tufts for style and gently tapered walnut legs.

This handsome cedar chest from Ed Roos Company (Illinois) dates to 1941. The waterfall style was on point for the pre-modernist era. The design lines are simple except for some period flourishes at the base, and still exude character today. Inside is an extra-large, cedar-lined compartment for storing and protecting wool, silk and other valuables. The lid displays the original paperwork, including a three-year moth protection guarantee with a Sept. 1, 1944 expiration. Fully restored. EXTERIOR DIMENSIONS | 47-1/2″W x 18-3/4″D x 21-1/2″H.

Traditional and exceptional writing desk circa early 1970s from the Milling Road collection by Baker Furniture. There is restraint to the ornamentation and the overall form is streamlined. Another original from our furniture-making partner, and as always he’s paired form and function to create some fantastic furniture. This piece is a combination bench-coffee table – or maybe a coffee table you’re allowed to put your feet on. He used solid red oak with a clearcoat finish for a strong Scandinavian vibe. The removable cushions are upholstered in blue-gray tweed with button tufting. The Acclaim collection from Lane Furniture is a mid-century mainstay, still admired more than 60 years after its introduction. Powerfully built but elegantly designed solid wood bench from our furniture-making partner. He used andiroba, a tropical species in the mahogany family that’s safely available for harvest. The bench top is three linear slabs with slim spacing between. The base frame and legs are built strong to support seating for adults – kids, too. Also makes a great coffee table. Early 20th Century cabinet-sized humidor in an Asian design motif. This piece is walnut with burled wood and inlay details. The cabinet is lined with polished tin and is in exceptional condition. A kind friend of the store entrusted us with this pair of Jasper Chair Company executive chairs. They had good bones – great even – but after decades of hard work they looked a little haggard. We took on the challenge and disassembled, stripped, cleaned, stained and sealed the solid walnut frames. They needed fresh threads, too, so we had them upholstered in a durable commericial fabric with a graphic pattern. The mechanicals are strong as ever, and the chairs swivel and tilt. There are adjustments for seat height and back position/tension. There are two available.

From the Conant Ball Furniture Company Norsemates collection in the late 1950s to early 1960s, this free-standing room divider is both a work of art and a practical piece of furniture. It’s made of solid birch, and although its primary purpose is to partition larger spaces, the open dowels in the back and a raised bench-style base keep it airy. In exceptional condition. DIMENSIONS: 52″W x 18-3/4″D (15″ bench depth) x 62-3/8″H.
Designed and developed in 1946 by Charles and Ray Eames, this clever room divider might be just right for current times. We all need a little privacy, but it’s nice to share space with the right people, too. The Folding Wood Screen (FWS) adds flexibility and portability, with six undulating panels that unfold from a slim vertical to a five-foot divider. The panels are made using ash veneer on the front and back over layers of maple. Each panel is connected with a polypropylene mesh fabric, allowing flexible positioning of the panels. The FWS was in production from 1946 to 1955, retired and then reintroduced by Herman Miller in 1994. This piece is from that second generation of production. OPEN DIMENSIONS: 60″L x 2-1/4″D x 68″H, and 10″W in the folded position.

Lane Furniture made a name for itself in mid-century modern designs throughout the 1960s. They used mixed woods with walnut as the go-to choice and unique styling. Fortunately, that aesthetic carried over into the 1970s, and this accent table pair is a great example. The primary wood is walnut and the tables have a dot pattern that harks back to the Acclaim collection. These are fully restored and ready to use – even as a nightstand option. Sold as a pair. This coffee/accent table is also a cabinet with a big, open storage compartment behind two doors. It might be a different design language, but all of his hallmark characteristics shine through: imaginative design, high-quality materials, solid construction, thoughtful functionality and attention to detail. Made of solid cherry with a wenge door handle. Includes a French cleat for easy hanging. CABINET DIMENSIONS (excluding crown and handle): 32-1/4″W x 6-3/4″D x 28″H. This artwork was created for use in travel agencies to show intricate details of each ship’s passenger and cargo accommodations. Mounted on masonite board with a thin edge metal frame. This original modern sculpture was created with hand-carved teak. The artist partially hollowed the wood to house a sympathetic metal form inside. Signed G. Chamberlain. DIMENSIONS WITH PEDESTAL: 33″H x 9″W x 7″D.
Fine art prints from Milan, Italy-based artist Joel Itman (joelitmanart.com). Each piece is printed on archival paper, signed and numbered. They are unframed and come in multiple sizes. We also have original framed drawings, greeting cards and other items created by Itman.
Fine art giclée prints by award-winning Minnesota artist Jeff Hinchee. These works are inspired by iconic mid-century designs: the George Nelson bubble lamp and Arne Jacobsen egg chair. Hinchee created the original works using cut paper construction. The prints are on museum-quality, matte archival paper with archival pigment inks. They are signed and numbered by the artist and displayed in 20″x 16″ black frames.
Organic modern fiber art from Don Freedman, who came to prominence in the 1970s and 1980s with his complex, mixed fiber woven creations. This large piece is made primarily with jute and shows a date of 1981. Freedman’s signature appears on a wood button sewn into the lower right corner. Clean and in excellent condition with just minor signs of its age. DIMENSIONS: 44″W x 46″H.
Is it just a mirror or is it also a work of art? This 1960s vintage mirror from the Bassett Furniture Mayan collection features an intricate carved wood frieze inspired by Mayan culture. DIMENSIONS: 28-1/2″W x 2″D x 45-1/2″H.
Sleek Italian modern fireplace tool set designed by Alessandro Albrizzi. Minimalist design with a solid Lucite post on a polished chrome base. There are three tools with black wrapped steel handles: poker, brush and shovel. We have cleaned and polished the set and it still shows modest signs of real world use. World globe made circa 1960s by the George F. Cram Company. The classic 12” globe portion still has rich color and shows intricate details. It spins on a metal axis and is illuminated by a low wattage bulb controlled by a line switch. The base is what truly sets it apart. There is a pair of bronze-toned cast metal Atlas figures, mounted on walnut, holding up the ringed globe. DIMENSIONS WITH BASE: 15”L 12“D x 16”H.
It’s not modern but it is mid-century in origin. More important, it’s spectacular! This vintage Replogle 16″ library globe is cradled in a Brandt carved oak base. The globe revolves in its metal hoop and is charmingly obsolete. In exceptional condition. OVERALL DIMENSIONS: 23″ diameter x 31″ tall.

I have a bentwood rocking chair with the name Thonet stamped in back piece…..near perfect condition…few small scuff marks lower side…..would you be interested in purchasing?
