‘PERCEPTION’ COFFEE TABLE FROM LANE FURNITURE | $445 This coffee table is one of Lane Furniture’s most daring designs for a 1960s mainstream line of furniture. Detailed figuring in the walnut top, basket weave drawer front and triangular base. Fully restored. Dimensions are 56″L x 20″D x 14″H.
DANISH TEAK EXECUTIVE DESK | $1,395 Impressive Danish modern teak desk worthy of The Boss. Streamlined design with soft edges puts the emphasis on the wood, as well as the large work surface. Three utility drawers on the left (with lock) and one large file drawer opposite. The backside of the desk houses a three-compartment bookcase. Teak oil finish. Dimensions are 61″L x 31-1/2″D x 28″H.
NEW MID-CENTURY INSPIRED, MINNESOTA MADE SOFA | $1,995 Magnificent mid-century inspired three-seat sofa designed and handmade in Minnesota. The frame was made using sapele, a high-density, semi-exotic wood native to tropical Africa and related to mahogany. It features stylized and sculpted arms, wide and thick back boards, a back center leg for added support and a webbed platform. The all-new cushions are covered in a high-quality fabric from the Designtex Hashtag collection. Dimensions are 72″L x 30-1/2″D x 30-1/2″H.
THONET W199 CHAIRS DESIGNED BY WALTER GROPIUS | $995 EACH A pair of rare hardwood chairs designed by Walter Gropius – the legendary leader of the influential Bauhaus School – in collaboration with Benjamin Thompson. They designed the chair in 1951 for Thonet, and they’re made using solid and layered birch. The two we’re offering were thoroughly restored and have a warm natural wood finish and uniform hardware. Contoured seats and high quality construction and materials.
BENT WOOD CLUB CHAIR – PROFESSIONALLY UPHOLSTERED | $545 Bring a pop of color and pattern into your room with this professionally reupholstered club chair. Features restored bent wood arms and legs plus a taller back height – all the better for resting your head and shoulders.
LANE FURNITURE ACCENT TABLES | $595 PAIR Even by the end of the 1960s, Lane Furniture was making distinctive furniture influenced by classic mid-century and Danish modern designs. This pair of walnut accent tables feature cabinets seemingly suspended between the H-shaped legs. Each cabinet houses a single drawer (despite the presence of two drawer pulls). These could easily serve as nightstands. Restored and in top condition. Dimensions are 20″W x 27″D x 20″H.

JANE & GORDON MARTZ FOR MARSHALL STUDIOS TABLE | $1,895 Rarely available large round console table designed by Jane and Gordon Martz and crafted by their company Marshall Studios, circa 1960s. The frame is solid American walnut, with a weighted round base, six slim columns and a rounded bullnose on the top. The hand-crafted top is a mosaic of round tiles of varying sizes in a deep charcoal gray that approaches black. Dimensions are 44″ diameter x 25-1/4″ high.
MID-CENTURY CHINA HUTCH | $695 If you’ve got it, show it off! One-piece china hutch in a medium walnut finish. It has big double glass door display on top and triple door access to concealed storage below. Plus, there’s a full length drawer in the center. Dimensions are 42”L x 16”D x 63”H.
PAUL McCOBB LINEAR FOR CALVIN GROUP CHESTS Exceptional walnut chests designed by Paul McCobb and made by the Calvin Group in the 1950s as part of the Linear collection. We refinished these pieces to reveal the richly figured walnut and give them a smooth surface feel. Original brushed metal accents and drawer handles.

The box-stitched and button-tufted back recreates the original in every detail, and it sits on sculpted wood legs in the style of Adrian Pearsall. Covered in a soft orange boucle with hints of blue, green, yellow and gray woven in. Measures 87”L x 31”D x 29”H.
MILO BAUGHMAN STYLE COMPACT SOFA | $1,695 Never underestimate the importance of a high-quality frame when you’re considering a sofa or chair. The part you’ll never see – the frame – is crucial for durability and most importantly for comfort. We reimagined this compact modern sofa, leveraging its superior construction and clean, modern profile. It was professionally reupholstered in a black and silver-gray fabric with sharp tailoring to elevate the look. HOOKER MAINLINE MID-CENTURY MODERN DESK | $745 Sculptural walnut desk from the Hooker Mainline series circa early to mid-1960s. It’s finished on all sides for flexible placement in a room. It features three drawers: a large utility drawer above the kneehole, a small utility drawer on the left and a file-sized drawer below. This desk is freshly restored. RESTORED WALNUT DESK | $745 Handsome mid-century modern desk with strong Danish design lines (although we believe it was American made). It’s finished on all sides, enabling flexible placement. There is a stack of three drawers on the left and a large utility drawer below the primary work surface. All drawers have integrated wood handles. This piece is fully restored. BROYHILL BRASILIA DOOR CHEST | $1,395 Iconic Broyhill Brasilia chest of drawers – designated as the “door chest” in the furniture line’s brochures. There are two full-sized drawers below, and lots more storage above behind double doubles with the signature Brasilia sculpted wood detail. Behind those doors is a stack of five additional drawers plus an open cabinet with shelves. Measures 44″L X 19″D X 49.5″H.
BROYHILL BRASILIA HEXAGONAL DRUM TABLE | $395 Six-sided drum accent table from Broyhill Furniture’s Brasilia series. Single door access to the cavernous storage compartment inside. Makes a great nightstand. Refinished top and rejuvenated all around. Dimensions are 28″W x 24-1/4″D x 21-1/4″H.
BROYHILL BRASILIA LANDSCAPE MIRROR | $345 The largest mirror in the Broyhill Brasilia furniture line features a rich walnut frame with the scalloped detail that defines the collection. Dimensions are 44″W x 40-1/2″H.
DOUBLE-LENGTH MIRROR WITH WALNUT FRAME | $365 If you want a mirror to make a big statement – in an entryway, above a fireplace or in a walk-in closet/dressing room – this mirror has a lot to say. Framed in walnut, has two large mirrors separated by slim, sculpted middle section. We added an extra-long French cleat to make it easy to hang. Dimensions are 62-1/2″L x 2-1/4″D x 37″H.
BOLD WALNUT MID-CENTURY QUEEN HEADBOARD | $365 This bold vintage walnut headboard is a worthy anchor for your wildest dreams. There are three framed vertical sections with wood inlay detail. LANE FIRST EDITION COFFEE TABLE WITH TRACK DOORS | $795 Rare ‘First Edition’ coffee table from Lane Furniture with 360-degree tambour doors that let you hide or reveal three partitioned compartments – one on each end and a large one in the center. Designed as a coffee table, but would work as a media console. Stamped underneath with the manufacturing date May 3, 1968. Dimensions are 64”L x 21”D x 14-3/4”H.
SET OF 4 STAKMORE DINING CHAIRS | $795 SET Dine in style on these chairs made by Stakmore and fully restored by one of our talented +friends. Refinished hardwood frames, new cane backs and freshly upholstered seats. The chair’s lines are graceful and open, and the seats have a floating effect.

TEAK NESTING TABLES BY MOREDDI | $695 SET Set of three teak nesting tables circa the 1960s. Made in Denmark by Moreddi and bearing the official Danish Control tag. The tables tuck into each other and can telescope out for a tiered display. Or they can be used individually. Feature raised edges on three sides of the largest table and finger joinery on the legs. Freshly rejuvenated with a teak oil finish. Overall measurements, when nested, are 23-1/4″W x 14-3/4″D x 20-1/2″H.
JACK CARTWRIGHT – FOUNDERS FURNITURE WALNUT CABINET | $445 This small but mighty walnut cabinet was designed by Jack Cartwright and made by Founders Furniture in the 1960s. It has raised panels, double door access to storage plus a slim drawer, is finished on all sides and is topped with slate gray tile. It’s one solidly built and elegantly styled piece. Dimensions are 22″W x 15″D x 23-1/4″H.
MID-CENTURY BARREL BACK ARM CHAIRS | $125 EACH Versatile vintage modern arm chairs with barrel backs, open wood frames and one of the best sits you’re going to get in a compact chair. The frames are solid wood in a honey color that contrasts perfectly with the black upholstery. The seat backs are curved for superior support and have brass tack trim for that extra retro touch. There are three chairs available.
3-DRAWER TEAK CHEST BY TORRING | $695 Compact chest of drawers made in Denmark by Torring Mobelfabrik. This is a high-quality piece, made using all teak and hardwood. The craftsmanship is apparent in the uniform fit and movement of the drawers, as well as the overall quality of construction. Dimensions are 36″W x 18-3/8″D x 28-1/4″H.
JENS RISOM DESIGN FLOATING TOP ACCENT TABLES | $395 EACH These vintage modern accent tables from Jens Risom bear his design signature in every aspect. First is the floating top design with which Risom is so strongly associated. Then there is the quality construction, using rich American walnut for the bases and trim and high-quality walnut laminate veneer tops. These tables are oversized and can be used as coffee or end tables in home or office. There are two available. Dimensions are 32″ across x 21″ high.
AMERICAN OF MARTINSVILLE 6-DRAWER CHEST | $645 Mid-century walnut chest of drawers made by American of Martinsville. Characterized by clean lines and distinctive triangular inlays. Sits on classic ball casters. Dimensions are 36″W x 18-1/4″D x 42-1/4″H.
HANDMADE MODERN EASY CHAIRS | $995 EACH These handmade-in-Minnesota easy chairs channel some of the most daring mid-century modern design aesthetics. Designed and built locally using solid jatoba wood (Brazilian cherry) with swooping lines and top shelf construction. There are two available.
SCULPTED EASY CHAIR DESIGNED & MADE IN MINNESOTA | $1,195 The striking and original design for this mid-century inspired easy chair comes from a Minnesota maker whose work we feature regularly. This is an all-new design, with the frame made of solid African sapele. It’s not only beautiful, it’s well-engineered for comfort and durability. The cushions are upholstered in a gray on yellow geometric fabric.
C. JERE ‘BIRDS IN FLIGHT’ SCULPTURE | $1,195 Dramatic “Birds in Flight” modernist metal sculpture from C. Jere. At the center is a dense cluster of birds, and as the sculpture expands the birds are spaced out like spreading wings. Beautiful muted brass finish. It can be hung or rest on a flat surface. In excellent condition. This piece is signed and dated 1968. Measures 58″L x 8-1/4″D x 22″H.
PAIR OF DANISH TEAK BAR STOOLS | $695 PAIR Belly up to the bar in this pair of Tarm Stole OG Mobelfabrik (Denmark) stools. Solid teak frames and wool tweed upholstery. These have 32” bar height seats. Offered as a pair.

Colorful indoor/outdoor modular sofa and companion chair. Paintable woven wicker seats on iron frames with wood accents on the arms. Curvy, comfortable and cool.
DANISH MODERN CHAIR BY TELL CITY | $545 Indiana was a mini-hotbed of mid-century modern design with the likes of Marshall Studios, Paoli Chair Co. and even Tell City Chair Co. Primarily known for traditional wood furniture, Tell City jumped into Danish modern design in the 1960s with a collection that included sofas and easy chairs. Features a well-built, solid wood frame (refreshed in our workshop), a cane panel back, and removable custom-made cushions.
TEAK FRAME EASY CHAIR + BELGIAN LINEN CUSHIONS | $1,495 You’ll enjoy looking at the organic curves on this vintage modern teak easy chair. The high-quality teak used in its making. The Belgian linen cushions we had made for it. But we think you might appreciate sitting in it even more.
C. JERE WALL SCULPTURE – VILLAGE SCENE | $465 Like the end of winter in Minnesota, this 1970s vintage wall sculpture from C. Jere is less commonly found. The soft green and muted gold palette is reminiscent of the first full blush of spring. Details include a towering steeple, watermill, stream and thick stand of trees. Signed C. Jere. Dimensions are 52″L x 3-1/2″D x 25″H.

12-DRAWER DRESSER IN NATURAL MAPLE | $895 Sometimes we find an exceptional piece of furniture that needs to be reimagined and not just restored. This solid maple dresser was originally finished in a toned lacquer, applied with the intention of masking naturally occurring variations in the wood. When we stripped away the old finish we found gorgeous spalting and naturally occurring variety in the wood tones. For the finish, we used a clear coat to embrace and elevate the beauty of the maple and all its unique characteristics. Dimensions are 56-1/2″L x 19-5/8″D x 32-1/2″H.

Leslie Diamond designed an extensive line of solid birch furniture for Conant Ball. The Modernmates series was launched in the late 1950s and fashioned as a modular collection, with pieces that could be regrouped as needs changed.

HENNING KJAERNULF FOR BRUNO HANSEN DINING CHAIRS | $995 PAIR Pair of teak-framed dining chairs designed by Henning Kjaernulf and made in Denmark by Bruno Hansen circa 1950s. The woven paper cord seats are brand new, using the original weave pattern. The frames are stamped with both the designer and maker names. Sold as a pair.
BORGE MOGENSEN MODEL 122 DINING CHAIRS | $1,895 SET OF 4 Set of four dining chairs designed by Børge Mogensen in the early 1950s for Soborg Møbler. They feature molded teak seats and backs mounted to solid birch frames. The contours of the seats and backs make them exceptionally comfortable. Freshly rejuvenated using a teak oil finish. Offered as a set of four. Shipping is available.
POUL HUNDEVAD TEAK SERVING CART | $995 This clever mid-century teak cart spreads its wings to create an impressive platform for your dinner or cocktail party. Designed by Poul Hundevad circa 1960 and made in Denmark by Vamdrup Mobelfabrik. It has three tray-style shelves with flared edges. The bottom two are removable and you can add one to the top tray, which slides aside to accommodate its companion. The cart rolls smoothly on four original casters. We’ve rejuvenated this versatile trolley with a full cleaning and fresh coats of teak oil. Dimensions are 29-1/2″L x 20-1/4″D x 26″H. With the extra shelf added on top, the length reaches 59″.
DANISH MODERN TEAK SERVING TROLLEY | $645 High-quality and highly practical teak serving trolley made in Denmark by Arrebo Mobler. Features a generously sized top, two utility drawers and lower shelf. Rolls easily on four disc casters. Dimensions are 31″L x 17-1/4″D x 24-3/4″H to top surface (28″H to top of handles).

REIMAGINED MID-CENTURY IRON FRAME CHAIR | $565 Maybe you’ve ascended to royalty. Or maybe you want a signature piece of furniture that stamps your style on a room. Consider this mid-century iron frame, tall back chair. We had the frame professionally stripped and powder-coated in a black satin finish. Then we upholstered it in the grooviest vintage fabric in the collection. Chair dimensions are 23-1/2″W at the front x 23-1/2″D x 53″H x 20″ seat height.
EAMES MOLDED FIBERGLASS CHAIR – OCHRE DARK | $395 Charles and Ray Eames-designed molded fiberglass chair made by Herman Miller in the rare Ochre Dark (OD) color. This chair is all original, including the “H” base. The shell, shock mounts and frame are all in excellent condition.

MILO BAUGHMAN ROSEWOOD + CHROME WRITING DESK | $2,195 This Milo Baughman-designed writing desk is modernist simplicity at its best. It uses simple geometric forms and quality materials to make a quiet yet clear style statement. The desk case is a slender box finished on all sides. It has three “blind” drawers with wood drawer boxes. The base is made of chrome-plated, squared steel. Dimensions are 52″L x 26″D x 29-1/2″H.
ASIAN STYLED TRIPLE CREDENZA-SIDEBOARD | $995 Modern interior design is not monolithic. There can be many styles in the mix, including pieces with Asian motifs. This vintage triple credenza-sideboard is a case in point. The overall lines are simple and clean like the best of mid-century modern. Yet small flourishes elevate it to room-defining status. Features all wood construction and decoration, with original brass cabinet hardware. Each of the three cabinets is independent and all have a combination of open compartment, adjustable shelf and utility drawer. WALNUT + AMBER GLASS GLOBE SWAG PENDANTS | $245 EACH The modern styling on these mid-century pendant lights is swinging. There are two available and they feature three-point walnut cages and ribbed amber glass globes. When they’re lit the mood takes on a mellow vibe. Fully rewired with line switches and new swag chains. Dimensions are 12″ diameter overall x 16″ high.
WALNUT LAUREL FLOOR LAMP WITH GALLERY TABLE | $645 We appreciate the simple elegance of this piece, made by Laurel Lamp Co. and restored in our workshop. Features a slender reverse tapering post, convex wood base and built-in table. It’s not just a space-saver, it’s a space maker.
DESIGN LINE LIGHTED PEDESTAL BY BILL CURRY | $595 American designer, inventor and promoter Bill Curry (1927–1971) created multiple collections of lighting that are the epitome of modernism. His lighting was sold under the Design Line brand, and included this illuminated pedestal lamp. The form is simple: a tall, square cabinet with vertical brushed aluminum and black laminate trim, faux walnut side panels, a recessed black plinth base, and a translucent milk glass top. The glass panel lifts to reveal a single socket and V-shaped reflector. The lamp provides up-lighting and is ideal for displaying a sculpture, decorative glass or other object. Dimensions are 13-1/4″ square x 36-3/4″ high.

The design is simple: a frame that houses a (brand new) mattress and a wood slat foundation that supports it. The frame exterior is made of teak and has soft rounded corners and edges. Use it as a child’s bed or guest bed – or just to lounge and relax. Dimensions are 76″L x 33-1/2″D x 20″H to the top of the mattress.

The curve of the arms, the reverse tapered dowels and the woven seat – these are the details that make the design storied. Plus, it’s a generous size with thoughtful ergonomics that make it comfortable for long, leisurely sitting. We’re offering this all original chair with lacquered solid beech frame and woven paper cord seat. In top condition. Made in Denmark by Kvist Mobler and dating from the late 1970s or early 1980s.

GEORGE KOVACS WHITE TULIP TORCHIERE | $1,000 Tall, slender floor lamp designed by Ernst Luthiger, made in Switzerland and offered in the United States by George Kovacs. The design of the lamp dates to 1965. It’s made of power-coated steel and has an external, pad-style control switch. In excellent condition. Measures 65″ high with an 11″ diameter footprint.
NOTE: Swiss designer Max Bill often gets credit for this design, but that attribution is incorrect.
